mmm-paint-reset-brush-airbrush-cleaner-250ml
MMM "Paint Reset" Brush & Airbrush Cleaner 250ml

Residue in your airbrush? Brush left to dry with paint in it? Build up in your brush ferrule? Want to strip a model?

The answer to all of these questions is Paint Reset. This plastic-safe water-based blend has been specifically formulated to remove all sorts of paints from brushes, airbrushes and even models, whilst avoiding harsh, drying chemicals that can damage airbrush seals, paint bristles or model styrene, and to top it off it even smells nice!

As part of the Spectrum range of products, it's also fully compatible with the other cleaners and thinners MMM produces.

Usage

Airbrush: pour a small amount of Paint Reset into your airbrush, and spray through to ensure all surfaces are wetted. Leave for 10-15 minutes, and then backflush into the cup to ensure any small detached paint flakes don't clog the brush. Wipe any particulates from the cup, and flush through with Routine Clean. For heavier soiling multiple rounds maybe required, or disassembly to ensure all parts (especially the nozzle) are properly clean.

Brush: Dispense a small amount of Paint Reset into a small palette or other suitable container. Immerse your brush into the fluid, ensuring the bristles are fully covered. After a few seconds as the paint softens, agitate the brush to ensure penetration of the fluid into all fibres of the brush. Continue working the brush until all paint is removed. Very heavily soiled brushes or for ferrules, longer periods of soaking or multiple rounds may be required.

Paint: Cover the area that paint is to be removed from with Paint Reset, and allow to stand for a few minutes to allow penetration of the paint film. As the paint begins to soften, use a firm-bristled brush (an old toothbrush works well) or a soft scouring pad (one that won't scratch your plastic!) to remove the paint from the surface. Thick paint layers may require multiple passes or soaking.
